SPECIAL WORKSHOPS

FOR MEMBERS AND NON MEMBERS

Our Special Workshop program brings fun and learning together throughout the year. Invited expert artists enthusiastically provide specialist tuition for members and non members. This year we are introducing an indication of the skill level to which the workshop is being pitched. Please consider carefully the information provided to gain the most from attending.

Check out the excitement for yourself in the Special Workshops & Events slideshow at the bottom of this page.

Please download the linked PDF flyers for details of each workshop, and follow the outlined registration procedure specific to each workshop.

Please direct queries for our events to: eventscaw@gmail.com

Canberra Art Workshop (CAW) and Artists Society of Canberra (ASOC)  members may register for the same discounted member price for workshops organised by each organisation. Non members are invited to join us at full price, or better yet, JOIN CAW!

ANNUAL MEMBER’S EXHIBITION

FOR MEMBERS ONLY

The Exhibition will be in M16 Gallery 3 (Corridor).

There will be two separate hangs of about 25 paintings in each, divided by genre. The curator will make a judgement about which works to hang if too many are received.

The First Hang, of Portraits and Life will be on display from 29 November – 4 December and will coincide with the M16 Drawing Prize Opening 6pm, Thursday 30 November.

The Second Hang, of Landscapes and Still Life will be on display from 6-18 December. It will ‘open’ with a CAW End of Year gathering with refreshments and the presentation of merit awards (for both hangs) on Saturday 9 December at 2pm in our studio.

Exhibiting members are reminded to drop off their works to Jill Mail at M16 the day before the respective hang, between 9-12noon, the earlier the better. Works are to be collected the day after the end of the respective hang, between 9-12noon.

(Please download the Entry Form for more details. Note that the Entry Forms were due Friday, 24 November.)

We are very excited to announce the tutors and workshop topics for 2018 at the Members End of Year gathering, 2pm Saturday 9 December in the studio. Join us for refreshments, prize giving for our Annual Exhibit merit awards, and a good time together before the summer break.
