Open for members with some experience as no tuition is provided. An effort is made to present portrait models in as interesting a way possible so as to encourage and challenge members of the group.
Portrait sittings are usually for two weeks in order to give painters time to develop their work. Once a term two weeks are given over to painting a nude life study. Models are chosen from those persons who approach CAW, contacts of members and sometimes volunteers from within the group.
Apart from studio facilities, art materials are not provided.
